Ginger, Orange and Grapefruit are the varieties we offer at Cebate, but they can also be prepared at home. In fact, the flavoured herbs can be used for bitter mate, sweet mate or even Tereré. In addition, they stimulate one of the most important senses when tasting mate: the sense of smell.

Mate with honey and lemon: Adding a spoonful of honey and some lemon peel to the water will provide a citric taste, strong in vitamin C, and the honey a natural sweet taste.

Mate with ginger: Cut a few slices of ginger and add them to hot water. You will notice a stronger and spicier taste. Ginger has antiseptic properties as well as facilitating digestion and promoting blood circulation.

Mate with herbs: Mint, peppermint or lemon balm are a good option to break the routine, they will give a fresh taste without subtracting the typical bitterness of yerba mate.
